About the Team / Department

Located at the Estates Office, Headquarters Bridgend. The Estates & Facilities team delivers a range of functions including Capital Projects, Minor Works Projects, Environmental Projects, routine maintenance for over 100 properties across the South Wales Police estate, contract management and compliance work.

About the Role & Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Works Coordinator will provide testing and support services across the South Wales Police area, undertake day‑to‑day electrical compliance work to maintain compliance with national standards, and may join the on‑call rota for building emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general information to customers (internal and external) via telephone, face‑to‑face and electronic channels, in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Carry out repair and maintenance duties as requested, and provide assistance and support to tradespeople.
  • Perform general administrative duties including:
  • Word processing/key‑boarding
  • Formatting documents
  • Co‑ordination of office diaries
  • Ordering supplies
  • Operating associated machinery/equipment essential to the role.

Qualifications & Requirements

Electrical experience is required. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo MV/SC vetting. Internal candidates subject to an ongoing PSD investigation may experience a delay pending outcome.
