About the Team/Department You Will Be Joining
Located at the Estates Office, Headquarters Bridgend. The successful candidate will work as part of the Estates & Facilities team delivering a range of functions including Capital Projects, Minor Works Projects, Environmental Projects, management of routine maintenance and facilities, contract management and compliance work for over 100 properties across the South Wales Police estate.
About the Role And Your Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated individual with electrical experience to join our electrical team in providing testing and support services across the South Wales Police area. The successful person will undertake day‑to‑day electrical compliance work, help keep everything compliant with national standards, and may join the on‑call rota for building emergencies once settled.
Key Skills and Experience
- Provide general information to customers (internal and external) on the phone, face‑to‑face and electronically, based on existing departmental procedures.
- Carry out repair and maintenance duties as requested and provide assistance and support to tradespeople as instructed.
- Carry out general administrative duties, including:
- Word processing/keyboarding.
- Formatting documents.
- Co‑ordination of office diaries.
- Ordering.
- Operate associated machinery/equipment essential to the role.
Additional Requirements
- Prepared to undergo MV/SC vetting.
- Ability to be cleared to the required vetting level.
