An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance, Procurement & Property department based at Fire Service Headquarters. We are looking for two Accountants to join our vibrant team and play a key role in developing our financial strategy and maintaining financial control.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the senior accountants, monitor and report the annual revenue and capital budgets, and contribute to the preparation of the annual statement of accounts.
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement of accountancy processes and systems to adapt to the changing public sector environment.
- Provide information and advice to support decision making through strong budget management and financial control.
- Work with stakeholders and senior leaders as part of the finance team to deliver high-quality financial services.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Qualified AAT member or equivalent.
- Experience in budget management and financial control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a keen team ethic.
- Willingness and ability to travel between sites throughout the South Wales area; driving license check will be required.
Contract: Permanent (x2); Grade: 10; Salary: £37,280 - £38,220 per annum; Hours of Work: 37 hours per week; Job Ref: 506404; Directorate: Finance and Procurement; Location: Fire Service Headquarters, Llantrisant.
