Job Overview
The Community Safety & Partnerships team at South Wales Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters is inviting applications for a permanent role that leads the Fire Safety Intervention (FSI) Scheme. The FSI Scheme aims to reduce fire setting and antisocial behaviour through tailored, evidence‑based interventions, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community safety while shaping the future of intervention work across the Service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Fire Safety Intervention Scheme, managing complex interventions and triaging referrals.
- Offer advice on high‑risk safeguarding cases involving vulnerable individuals.
- Represent SWFRS nationally through active participation in National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) committees, sub‑groups, working groups, and conferences to promote the Service’s work and share best practice.
- Travel frequently between sites throughout the South Wales area and work on evenings and weekends as occasion arises.
