South Wales Fire & Rescue Service's Independent Advisory Group (IAG) is a new group as part of our governance structure, which will perform the vital role of a 'critical friend' in relation to our policies and processes.
The group allows independent members to offer advice based on their knowledge and lived experience, contributing to the mission of 'To Make South Wales Safer by Reducing Risk'. The IAG provides informal advice focusing on understanding and responding to the needs of all communities and staff. Members may comment on and inform policy, procedures, and operational matters affecting South Wales communities.
We seek passionate individuals with experience in public sector, private sector, cultural change, voluntary sector, inspection, and D.I.C.E, to help us deliver for South Wales communities and foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
