Epinay Business & Enterprise School is an outstanding special school providing teaching for pupils from KS1 to KS5, including those with significant learning difficulties and diagnosed learning disabilities. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and receive personalised learning programmes and specialist support in a structured, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist in delivering differentiated, tailored learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support communication using appropriate strategies
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families
- Work collaboratively with the school staff team
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience of working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Calm, patient, empathetic and resilient
- Genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Ability to remain composed and adaptable in challenging situations
- Effective teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Subject to enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
- Demonstrated research of the schoolβs designation, cohort groups, specialist provision groups and curriculum offer
