St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, South Shields is seeking a teaching assistant to support teaching and learning. Start date is as soon as possible. Contract is 32.5 hours per week, term time only, fixed term until July 2027. Salary is SCP6: £19,359.93 pro rata (FTE £25,989).

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively under the instruction and guidance of teaching and senior staff to support high‑standard teaching and learning for all pupils.
  • Assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
  • Be passionate about pupil learning, progress and wellbeing.

  • Promote and support the Catholic ethos of the school.
