Location: Stanhope Primary School, South Shields.

Salary: ÂŁ25,185 per annum pro rata (ÂŁ13.05 per hour).

We are looking to appoint a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly staff team. The role involves ensuring pupils have a safe, happy, and enjoyable lunchtime in the dining hall and outside areas.

Main duties:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch break in the dining areas, outside areas, and other parts of the school.
  • Encourage good behaviour and positive play during lunchtime OPAL sessions.
  • Support pupils with eating and social interaction.
  • Report any accidents, incidents or concerns to classroom staff.
  • Promote the school’s values and safeguarding policies at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children and young people in a formal setting on a voluntary or paid basis.
  • Has a positive, caring attitude.
  • Can work well as part of a team.
  • Is reliable, punctual and committed.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
