Stanhope Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive, and highly motivated Site Manager to join our supportive and inspiring team. At Stanhope, our Seven Strengths shape a caring, respectful, and inclusive school community. We promote kindness, positivity, resilience, and independence, and we are looking for a Site Manager who embodies these values through a strong work ethic.

We are looking for a hands‐on professional who will take personal pride in the look and feel of our school, working positively and proactively with staff to ensure that every area of our school premises, including the playground, is perfect for our pupils. The successful candidate will play a transformative role in our school's physical development. Beyond standard maintenance, you will take an active role in improving both the indoor and outdoor environments. A key part of this role will be supporting and developing our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) provision, ensuring our outdoor spaces are creative, safe, and exciting places for children to explore.

You will be responsible for some of our school's safety—willingly taking ownership of risk assessments, meticulously monitoring fire and water systems, and ensuring we are always compliant and secure. You will also lead and work alongside our cleaning team, setting the standard for cleanliness through your own hard work and leadership.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Demonstrates a strong, "can‐do" work ethic with the DIY skills to tackle maintenance and repairs personally and effectively.
  • Has a passion for the environment, with a desire to help develop our OPAL provision and outdoor learning spaces.
  • Is technically minded and diligent, with a willingness to manage health and safety documentation, write risk assessments, and monitor building systems.
  • Works proactively with staff, identifying needs before they become problems and communicating with kindness and clarity.
  • Takes pride in their work, understanding that a well‐maintained school is the foundation of a child's success.
  • Is a flexible team player who can balance the technical demands of the role with the daily needs of a vibrant primary school.

We can offer you:

  • A warm and welcoming school community with high aspirations for everyone.
  • The opportunity to shape and develop our school site and OPAL spaces.
  • Happy and delightful children who respond to challenge and are keen to learn.
  • An enthusiastic, supportive, and hard‐working team of staff.
  • Active, supportive Governors and parents.
  • A commitment to providing a range of opportunities for professional development.
