We are pleased to offer two apprenticeship positions for individuals who are eager to pursue a Business Administration Level 3 qualification. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to join either the Member Services Team or the Employer Services Team, both of which play a vital role in supporting the Tyne and Wear Pension Fund.

As an apprentice, you will be involved in supporting the delivery of essential front-line services to both members and employers of the Fund. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the daily operations of the teams, ensuring the smooth and effective administration of pension services. Through hands-on involvement, you will develop valuable practical skills and acquire knowledge that can be transferred across a variety of business functions.

The Tyne and Wear Pension Fund is a regional pension fund administering the Local Government Pension Scheme. We also administer the LGPS for the Teesside Pension Fund, making us the fourth largest Local Government Pension Fund in England and Wales.

You would be joining a team of around 100 staff, committed to delivering a high level of service to our members and other stakeholders. We are constantly striving to improve and innovate and are committed to enhancing our performance by maximising the use of automation and digitisation.

Requirements

Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications grade A* to C (or 4 to 9). ECHP: For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
