Harton Academy — Kitchen Assistants
£12.85/hr, 2 posts – 12.5 hpw and 10 hpw, Term Time only
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our busy and successful catering team. You will work on food preparation and the serving of meals as well as in the dining area and rotate roles behind the scenes, including washing and cleaning. Lunchtime in school is busy, and over the two hour period you’ll help feed and refuel over 1,000 children, keeping them going for the rest of the day. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to provide excellent customer service to our students and colleagues, and ideally you will have an awareness or be trained in food hygiene.
These vacancies are for lunchtime cover, however the kitchen start their preparation early and provide breakfast to a number of pupils to start their day. Opportunities arise across the year to do additional hours or move into these roles – and being in the team would enable you to step into these wider roles.
