Salary: £53,460 pa
South Tyneside Council’s Housing Services are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager – Building Safety. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in ensuring the safety, compliance and quality of our social housing portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of building safety across the housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage building safety risks and oversee compliance programmes, ensuring residents remain safe in their homes.
- Provide leadership and management of building safety operations across a variety of buildings, including Higher‑Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) and other complex residential buildings.
- Ensure that building safety obligations are met and compliance risks are effectively managed, keeping residents at the heart of decision‑making.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and resident engagement throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
- Strong operational management experience in building safety or a related field.
- Demonstrated passion for delivering excellent outcomes for residents.
- Experience managing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements within a local authority or housing service.
