Role based at Technology and Independence Service, Jarrow Town Hall. Salary £28,598 pa pro rata (£14.82ph), plus a 10% shift allowance.
Role Overview
The world of Technology‑Enabled Care is expanding every day with new technologies and digital solutions that support people to remain safe and independent in their own homes. In this fast‑paced role you will work at the heart of our Alarm Receiving Centre, responding to emergency calls from individuals in crisis and liaising with Responders and Emergency Services.
Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to emergency calls, coordinating with Responders and Emergency Services to ensure swift and effective support is dispatched.
- Handle out‑of‑hours calls related to Council and Housing, working with colleagues and partners to keep the borough running around the clock.
- Provide on‑site support in the community, installing and servicing Assistive Technology equipment prescribed by our assessment team.
- Work on a 4 nights on / 4 days off rota, typically 21:00–07:00, in a 24/7, 365‑day year service that meets TSA Quality Standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought, along with other relevant pre‑employment checks.
- COVID‑19 vaccination (unless medically exempt) is a condition of employment, unless the post does not require entry to a Care Quality Commission‑regulated care home.
- Full visa sponsorship is not offered.
