At South Tyneside Council we are continuing our exciting journey of change which focuses on supporting our residents to live healthier lives longer, promoting independence and wellbeing through delivering personalised services in partnership with them.
Do you want to make a difference to the community? As part of the Living Better Lives team, you will help our residents to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Your main duties of delivery, fitting, demonstration, collection, and maintenance service to clients in receipt of equipment will assist in maintaining their independence or support carers to do so.
Will I get training?
Yes, you will undertake a Facilities Operative Apprenticeship Level 2 and be supported by the team to experience all areas of the service, from delivering equipment to customer service, processing orders and maintenance of the inventory. This will ensure you fully understand your role within the team and the wider Adult Social Care Service.
Apprenticeship requirements
- Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications grade A* to C (or 4 to 9).
- For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
- British Sign Language qualification is an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
