Job Details

Location: Town Hall, South Shields (Hybrid). Salary: Β£33,699 per annum.

Overview

Are you ready to make a real difference in how HR and Payroll Services operate across the Council? As our new i-Trent System Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of supporting and improving our essential systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that everything runs smoothly, securely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support and guidance to system users.
  • Take ownership of change requests, helping to plan and implement new releases.
  • Lead on system testing, validation and documentation to ensure our processes remain robust.
  • Manage user access and champion compliance with security policies.
  • Safeguard data integrity, identify training needs, and deliver targeted training sessions.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers and schools, building strong working relationships to support ongoing system needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in system support, ideally within HR and payroll environments.
  • Sharp problem-solver with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible guidance for all users.
  • Knowledge of access management and system administration.
