Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (37 hours per week – Term Time Only)

Location: Simonside Primary School, Jarrow

Salary: £28,598 per annum (pro rata)

Start Date: Permanent post required from 1 September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under guidance of teaching/senior staff and support classroom instruction.
  • Plan and implement agreed work programmes with individuals or groups, in or out of the classroom, including specialist knowledge where required.
  • Supervise and deliver lessons to whole classes during teacher absence.
  • Support teaching and learning across the school.
