English Teacher – Full Time (part time will be considered) (Park View School – Vocational Centre, Jarrow) MPS 1 plus SEN1 Temporary Contract for 1 year – possibility of becoming permanent Required As Soon As Possible

We are seeking to appoint an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic Teacher who has vision, can take initiative and can contribute to outstanding results.

You will need to have the drive, commitment and excellent organisational skills necessary to work within the school and meet the current and future needs of our pupils.

You will be based at our Vocational Training Centre in Jarrow delivering and developing the English curriculum with key stage 4 pupils.

You will have passion and experience of working with SEND learners, have a desire to provide the best experiences for these young people and be comfortable stepping outside their specialist subject area.

Ideally you will have experience of teaching secondary pupils up to GCSE and a knowledge of the primary curriculum.

  • Have thorough understanding of curriculum development and assessment.
  • Have a passion for teaching and have the potential to inspire students with a wide range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Gain commitment from all students to achieve success, and have the ability to motivate students with a focus on maximising student attainment.
  • Take part and organise events and extracurricular provision.
  • Be resilient and thrive in a challenging environment.
