We are seeking to appoint an exceptional English Lead following the retirement of our current post holder, who has made considerable contributions to our English provision over many years. This transition presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader to build upon the high standards that Hedworth Lane Primary School has consistently achieved, ensuring continuity and further development of our English curriculum and teaching practises.

The English Lead will be responsible for driving forward the quality of English teaching and learning across the school. This includes developing and refining our curriculum approach, supporting colleagues in their professional practice, and maintaining the rigorous standards for which our school is known. The post holder will work collaboratively with staff to ensure that our children benefit from high-quality, well-sequenced English provision that enables them to develop as confident, articulate learners. The role will be class-based within Key Stage 1.
