This is an outreach role within South Tyneside, with office locations at South Shields Business Works and Jarrow Business Centre. £33,699 pa Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027.
Help Young People Achieve Their Potential
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve positive futures? Do you have the skills to motivate, support and guide young people into education, training and employment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Employment and Skills Team. You will support the Place Strategy Directorate to deliver South Tyneside's ambitious economic growth plans, so that economic wellbeing and social inclusion is improved for our residents.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people across the Borough, particularly those who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), at risk of becoming NEET, or who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
As an Employment and Skills Case Worker, you will provide impartial careers information, advice and guidance to young people, helping them identify and achieve their aspirations. You will support young people to overcome challenges, develop their confidence and skills, and progress into education, training and employment.
