South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is expanding its workforce to support the continued development of inclusive SEND practice and future national reforms. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and innovative colleagues to join our highly regarded team. We are a friendly, supportive and nurturing service comprising of educational psychologists, specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers.

There are opportunities to engage in a wide variety of work, including consultation, assessment, training, therapeutic interventions, systemic practice and research, using a variety of psychological approaches, tools and methods. We are seeking educational psychologists who are committed to working as part of a multidisciplinary team. We would welcome candidates who can bring specialist interests, knowledge or expertise to enhance and further develop our service offer. We value innovation and are always keen to explore new ways of working with schools and partners.
We offer opportunities for progression to Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist roles enabling colleagues to develop areas of specialist practice. We are committed to offering opportunities for continuing professional development. Trainee Educational Psychologists currently completing their doctoral training are welcome to apply.
We are located centrally in a modern, environmentally friendly building with free car parking. EP's have their own individual workstations and ICT facilities. We offer flexible/hybrid working arrangements. A team that is very highly rated by schools and that has a very successful traded offer. We offer opportunities for you to provide supervision, regular individual supervision and peer support, tailored to the needs of the individual. Effective and well-established multi-agency working. Strong links with the professional training programme at Newcastle University. Excellent administrative support.
