Required as soon as possible. The Governing Board is seeking to appoint a driver to work on transport with an Escort to collect pupils from home in the morning and drop them off at school before the start of the school day. The driver will also collect pupils from school and return them home at the end of the school day. Additional driving ad-hoc hours are also expected for transporting pupils and staff to pre-arranged off-site visits and places in and around the local community during the school day.

All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment, and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks. In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, schools may carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
