We are seeking an experienced Lecturer with extensive Acting and Directing abilities to teach a range of performance skills from Level 1 to Level 3. The Performing Arts courses focus on the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours relevant to industry progression and further educational practice.
Responsibilities
Develop module study guides and/or schemes of work.
Oversee delivery of the courses.
Supervise assessment processes.
Carry out internal verification.
Liaise with external verifiers and moderators as required.
Provide pastoral support to students when needed.
Qualifications
Hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher.
Hold a degree or higher, or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject.
Possess acting and directing abilities and industry knowledge to teach Level 2 to Level 3 performance skills.
Experience teaching SEND learners is beneficial but not essential.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of evidence‑based teaching, learning and assessment.
Be a reflective practitioner capable of developing and implementing innovative approaches.
Show a strong commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, personalised learning, and the delivery of educational excellence.

The salary will be increased in line with the annual cost of living review implemented in the new academic year.
