Job Overview
28 hours a week over 38 weeks a year – Term Time Only.
Responsibilities
- Support and mentor learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs, disability, learning difficulties, or medical conditions.
- Assist learners with ESOL, English and Maths support needs to enable successful completion of their qualifications and courses.
- Maintain high‑quality written records of learner progress and set appropriate SMART targets based on EHCP outcomes and agreed support plans.
- Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people or adults who have social, emotional, and mental health needs is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, organise and prioritise tasks, and communicate well at all levels.
- Good administration and computer skills.
- Willingness to achieve a GCSE/Level 2 or equivalent with grades A*-C in English and Mathematics (if not already achieved).
- Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
