Job Overview: The School of Commercial, Creative and Professional Studies at Merton College invites an inspiring and ambitious individual to take on the role of ESOL Lecturer (daytime and evening classes).
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality ESOL provision across all levels to 19+ and ESOL 16‑18 learners using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to ensure learners gain a positive learning experience, are respected, can participate and achieve their qualifications.
- Deliver classes during at least one evening per week.
Qualifications
- Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a suitable subject.
- Have a recognised teaching qualification and excellent ESOL teaching skills across all levels.
- Maintain current knowledge of curriculum changes and implications for teaching and learning strategies.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development including mandatory training.
- Experience meeting Awarding Organisation standards and understanding the Quality Assurance cycle.
- Demonstrate high level of computer literacy and practical digital skills, including experience delivering remote learning.
