The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is now seeking a Vocational Skills Assessor to facilitate the effective and efficient practical and online assessment of learners as well as the development of their commercial, employability and enterprise skills.
Responsibilities
- You will assess learners on a variety of programmes across the School which may include Level 1, 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, Customer Service & Workskills providing prompt and constructive feedback after the assessment.
- You will ensure a strong client base in the Commercial salons ensuring income targets are met and undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas, ensuring a professional, safe and secure environment is maintained.
- As our Vocational Skills Assessor, you will hold professional qualifications with a reputed awarding body, recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors and hold an IV Award.
- With recent experience within the beauty therapy industry either through a professional development file (CPD) or recent salon experience, you will be qualified to at least Level 3 in Beauty Therapy.
- With excellent communication skills and demonstrable patience, you will have good IT skills (or a willingness to gain these) with the ability to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress.
