The Director of Inclusive Learning holds cross‑Group responsibility for developing and leading the Group's Inclusive Learning strategy and for ensuring high‑quality opportunities for students with learning difficulties and disabilities (LDD). As a member of the Group Leadership Team, the postholder shares collective accountability for delivering the College Vision, Strategic Plan, Objectives and Annual Operating Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group's Inclusive Learning strategy and drive effective curriculum development.
  • Foster strong partnerships with local and regional stakeholders.
  • Ensure target income and contribution levels are met for High Needs Students (HNS), Additional Learning Support (ALS) and all curriculum areas within remit.
  • Build capacity and capability across the Group to deliver high‑quality provision for learners with LDD, utilising a range of delivery models.
  • Develop curriculum pathways that meet community needs and support learners with LDD to achieve progress into employment, further education or training.
  • Maintain exemplary safeguarding practices to protect and support students with LDD.
  • Manage a significant budget and implement systems and processes that raise quality and standards in learning and teaching.
  • Lead change within the organisation and work collaboratively with partners, including employers and external agencies, to develop the College Curriculum and achieve income targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven record of growing and developing provision for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Strong track record of leadership in an FE setting and effective management of a significant budget.
  • Teaching qualification and Level 3 safeguarding qualification.
  • Management qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience as an Ofsted Inspector or QAA Reviewer is advantageous.
  • Experience working with external partners and employers.

Placement Group wide post. Requires travel to or work from any of the South Thames Colleges Group sites.

Assessment day will be held on 6th July 2026.
