Location: 0.5 FTE at Kingston College, 1x 18 hours a week over 52 weeks a year - £24,596 - £26,897 per annum; 0.5 FTE at Carshalton/Merton Colleges, 1x 18 hours a week over 52 weeks a year - £24,596 - £26,897 per annum; OR 1 FTE based across Kingston, Carshalton and Merton Colleges, 1x 36 hours a week over 52 weeks a year - £49,192 - £53,795 per annum.

The Teaching and Development Coordinator (TDC) is a strategic role focused on embedding high-quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA) practices across the organisation. Working collaboratively with curriculum, quality and leadership teams, you will play a key role in supporting and evaluating the organisation’s TLA strategy to drive continuous improvement in teaching practice and learner outcomes.

You will provide coaching, mentoring and professional development support to teaching staff, while contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of CPD and other staff development activities. The role also supports self-assessment, quality improvement planning and inspection readiness, helping to implement and monitor actions that enhance teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation.

As our Coach, you will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment (feedback via observations). You will be experienced in creating engaging, innovative learning experiences through the effective use of digital tools and educational technology. You will have significant experience supporting High Needs and SEND learners, with a strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and strategies to meet a wide range of individual learning needs.

A sound knowledge of safeguarding, PREVENT and the promotion of British Values is essential. An effective communicator, you will be confident in building positive relationships with staff at all levels, providing coaching and mentoring support to both new and established colleagues.

With a strong understanding of stretch and challenge and their impact on learner progress, you will be able to identify, model and share best practice across the Group, as well as design and deliver high-quality staff development (CPD) activities. This is a cross-group role and will require travelling across the South Thames Colleges Group.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 27 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health.
