South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a Management Development and HR Training Manager to lead the development and delivery of high-quality management development and HR training programmes across the Group. This is a key role in strengthening leadership and management capability, promoting the consistent application of HR policies and management responsibilities, and embedding the Group’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion through effective management practice.

You will lead the design and delivery of management development programmes for new and existing managers, including workshops, training sessions and leadership programmes covering areas such as performance management, communication, recruitment, change management and team leadership. You will provide one-to-one coaching and guidance, working closely with managers and HR to identify development needs and deliver targeted interventions. You will also evaluate the effectiveness and impact of development programmes, using feedback, performance outcomes and impact assessments to drive continuous improvement.

A key part of the role will be developing and delivering training and initiatives that embed equality, diversity and inclusion within HR processes and leadership and management practice. You will contribute to organisational development projects that strengthen workforce capability and engagement, and support the implementation of new policies, initiatives, systems and change programmes through effective training and development. Building strong relationships with managers and the Group Leadership Team will be central to the role, enabling you to support HR initiatives, College-focused activities and strategic action plans across the Group.

You will have proven and extensive expertise in designing and delivering management development programmes and HR training, with experience facilitating engaging workshops and professional development sessions. You will have a strong understanding of HR, leadership and management development principles, alongside sound knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion practices and relevant legislation. You will hold MCIPD or an equivalent professional qualification, together with a recognised training, learning and development qualification.

You will be an experienced coach, able to support managers at different levels and build their confidence and capability. You will demonstrate excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills, together with the ability to evaluate learning and development programmes and demonstrate their impact. You will have experience embedding equality, diversity and inclusion through management development and training, with the ability to influence and support positive cultural change. You will be a collaborative and credible professional who can build strong relationships with managers and staff and work effectively with colleagues across the Group.

You will be innovative in developing engaging learning experiences, proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, and able to work independently, take ownership and deliver effectively against organisational priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced learning, development or HR professional to make a significant contribution to leadership capability, inclusive management practice and organisational development across South Thames Colleges Group.

This is a Group Wide post; therefore, you must be willing to travel to all College sites operated by the Group.
