An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Plain Film X-Ray Imaging department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer to work within the radiography team. The department includes the provision of plain film x-ray, dental (including cone beam CT) and theatre services as well as specialist modalities, including US, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy/interventional radiology.
The successful candidate will be a role model for demonstrating our Trust's values through their leadership attributes and be committed to providing high quality, patient focussed patient care.
Although the successful candidate will be employed by South Tees Foundation Trust, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required. However, this role is primarily for South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust , The James Cook University Hospital Plain Film services. The successful candidate will join the James Cook Plain Film roster South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and work across all service sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.
South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is already nationally recognised as one of the leading healthcare providers in England for the quality of our services. The Trust is a designated regional Major trauma centre with a 24-hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.

Knowledge
- Evidence of good general experience in radiography

- BSc HONS Radiography/DCR/MSc or equivalent
- HCPC registered

New Starters – Probationary Period
For any new employees commencing employment with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will be subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period.
