We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and motivated individual proficient in CRM and all EP studies, holding the BHRS/IBHRE in Cardiac Devices and/or EP accreditation. Candidates with accreditation in one of the above specialisms and an interest in the other will be considered, with the expectation to become accredited in the other within 18-24 months of employment.
We have a modern, well-equipped, and integrated department with facilities to operate two EP labs, a 3-bedded pacemaker clinic, cardiac catheter labs with on-call service, a fully digital echo suite, and a comprehensive range of non-invasive cardiology diagnostics including ECGs, ambulatory ECG, BP and extended ECG monitoring, exercise tolerance tests, and a rapid access chest pain clinic.
Our department features a seminar room, a library, and a program of educational and training events, providing an excellent learning environment and a great place to work.
The post holder is expected to support and rotate through the Cardiac Catheter labs for structural and interventional cardiology and participate in the on-call physiology rota based on service needs.
The candidate will work within our highly specialized CRM team supporting CRM device follow-up clinics, face-to-face, remote monitoring, and specialized CRT clinics across Trust sites.
Invasively, support for all CRM device implants is required, with the goal of supporting sole implantation of ICDs. The role involves providing support and guidance as the sole physiologist in the EP lab performing simple and complex electrophysiology procedures, including 3D mapping and AF ablation.
