Community Care Assistant – St Ives
Pay: £16.69 to £19.99 per hour
We are looking for an exceptional Community Care Assistant to join the Newcross team in St Ives and be part of a supportive and rewarding environment where your contributions truly matter.
Your Role: Supporting Independence, Enriching Lives
As a Community Care Worker, you will provide life-enhancing, person-centred care to people within their own homes in St Ives. Your compassion and dedication will help people live safely, with dignity and independence in their own homes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Personal care and support: Assisting with daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing
- Companionship: Offering warmth, kindness and a friendly face
- Live-in care: Providing round-the-clock care for those who need it most
- Promoting independence: Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy
- Medication support: Safe, timely administration of medication
- Specialist clinical care: Supporting clients with complex needs confidently and competently
- Palliative and end-of-life care: Providing compassionate care during life\’s most sensitive moments
What we\’re looking for:
- At least 6 months of paid professional care experience (or personal care experience in the UK)
- Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility
- A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in the UK
- Experience with complex care (preferred but not essential, full training provided)
- Registration: Applicants in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland will require the relevant registration (e.g., SSSC, SCW, NISSC). Not applicable in England
- Ability to understand both verbal and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively
- Qualities: Empathy, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork and the ability to deliver exceptional care
