Job summary
South Street Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are a small practice with a list size of approximately 4,000 patients, based at Ilkeston Health Centre.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, personal patient care while creating a positive and supportive working environment for our team.
Following changes within our GP team, including the planned retirement of one of our long-standing GPs, we are looking for a Salaried GP who would like to become an important part of the future of our practice.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Salaried GP for approximately 4 to 6 sessions per week, with flexibility for the right candidate.
The postholder will undertake the full range of general practice duties.
We are keen to support individual clinical interests and would welcome someone who would like to become involved in the ongoing development of the practice.
Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
- Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List, or eligible for inclusion.
- Qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent recognised qualification.
Desirable
- Additional relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in UK General Practice.
- Previous experience as a Salaried GP.
- Ability to manage a varied primary care workload safely and independently.

- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary primary care team.

- Commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining revalidation requirements.
- Understanding of confidentiality, information governance and clinical governance.
