The Role

As a Technical Operator, you will work closely with a range of internal and external contacts on a daily basis. You will be responsible for maintaining the control and operation of strategic source water sites and will be required to manage your time effectively to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities.

As a Technical Operator, You Will:

  • Conduct basic electrical tasks.
  • Possess the knowledge and practical application of technical skills to operate, maintain, improve, and repair equipment.
  • Maintain control and oversee the operation of strategic source water sites.
  • Effectively manage your time to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of site design and operation.
  • Utilise appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the entire team.
  • Ensure that all aspects of quality within the area of responsibility adhere to local quality procedures.
  • Attend to site and equipment breakdowns to safely restore plant supply.

Essential training will be provided which will help you gain the confidence within the operational area.

What You’ll Need:

  • An electrical background in the utilities or similar industry is essential to the role; a Water industry background is desirable.
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Full driving licence.
  • Health and safety are a priority for all members of the production team. You will have experience of reviewing risk assessments and are always confident to challenge and enforce safe working practices.
