Health Express is seeking part-time and per diem Nurse Practitioners for our 7 locations across the South Shore. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients in an urgent care setting, requiring critical thinking, multitasking, and teamwork.

Essential Functions

  • Arrive prepared for your scheduled shift and complete patient care before leaving.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute suggestions.
  • Review patient records, including allergies, medications, and immunizations.
  • Conduct patient interviews and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret tests and diagnostic images.
  • Perform initial x-ray interpretations and clinical interventions.
  • Diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, and medications.
  • Discuss medication side effects and obtain DOT medical examiner certification if needed.
  • Administer vaccinations and injections as indicated.
  • Advise patients on health, hygiene, and prevention.
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Emergency Medicine experience required.
  • Comfort with minor surgical procedures, including suturing.
  • MS or DNP in Nursing required.
  • Licensed as RN and Nurse Practitioner.
  • Board Certified by ANCC.
  • Maintain documentation of patient visits.
  • Follow-up on high-risk or emergency cases.
  • Maintain professionalism, current CPR, and understanding of HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Excellent communication, patient interaction, and multitasking skills.
  • Patient-centric and customer service oriented.
  • Shifts include days and weekends.
