General Job Description
- Maintain patient\’s safe passage in and out of the practice
- Greet, assess and interview patients
- Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs
- Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint
- Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider
- Anticipate needs of patients, and the provider
- Monitor patients during examination or procedure
- Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties
- Maintain patient care areas
- Stock and order supplies as needed, and maintain clean exam rooms
- Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
- Respond to patient\’s concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Administer medications and IVs per physician’s orders
- Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures and more
Qualifications:
• Current Massachusetts Paramedic Licensure
• Current ACLS/BLS licensure
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Team Player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
