The Senior Facilities Technician is responsible for the full range of rough and finish skilled carpentry, including the ability to read blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to design cabinetry. Designs, constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall & tape, plaster, steel, concrete or brick including metal fabrication. System furniture design and installation, hung ceiling layout and installation, interior partitioning frame to finish, flooring VCT tile, carpet tile subfloor and cove base installation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist Facilities Supervisor in prioritising and coordinating daily activities for workers in department.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses, installing new or repairing old sump pumps and drain lines, repack or replace faucet, sillcock and water feed lines).
  • Prepare the surfaces and paint various structures, buildings and equipment (e.g., walls, floors, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g., sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.).
  • Landscaping and grounds keeping, operate vehicles, Bobcat, mowers, weed whackers, blowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers and pruning saws.
  • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and other grounds.
  • Participate in a wide variety of seasonal and special event preparation including setting up training rooms, boardrooms, after hour meetings and early morning food pickups. Cleaning up after such events and returning rooms to previous furniture setups.
  • Participate in Department on-call and after-hour requirements.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work by contractors; estimate cost, time and materials for carpentry projects.
  • Manage secondary subcontractors – trades (i.e., Electrical / Plumbing / HVAC) and coordinate activities to meet project schedule.
  • Ensure job close outs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee job completion in the absence of the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records and P.O.
  • Research, purchase and inventory equipment, parts and supplies, as needed.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs, service, and janitorial needs.
  • Complete all internal Company training as assigned and required.
  • Adhere to the Company’s privacy and data security policies including but not limited to safeguarding of sensitive information and complying with relevant regulations to protect non-public information.

Secondary Duties

  • Janitorial responsibilities would include sweeping, mopping, emptying trash cans, window cleaning, spot cleaning carpets, cleaning and maintaining exterior drive thru equipment.
  • Keeping cleaning supplies and janitorial supplies stocked for cleaning company.
  • Refuel and maintain corporate vehicles.
  • May perform courier/mail clerk duties if coverage is needed.

Education And/or Experience

  • Prior trade experience required.
  • Ability to identify and use common trade tools with ease.
  • Understanding and ability to follow Code requirements for State.

  • Basic knowledge of the banking and financial services industry including federal laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to gain new knowledge and technical skills.
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet the production needs of the position.
  • Intermediate math skills: the ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyse, and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.

Pay Range Disclosure

The pay range for this position is $24.29 to $30.18 per hour and is the lowest to highest hourly rate Charlesbridge in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the posted range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organisational needs and affordability.
