This is a leadership position with responsibility for maintenance planning, reliability improvement, engineering projects, asset management, contractor management and the development of a high-performing maintenance team. The successful candidate will lead a team of nine direct reports while working closely with operational leaders across the business.
Key responsibilities
Leading and developing the Engineering & Maintenance team
Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements
Maximising plant reliability, equipment availability and asset life
Leading preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Managing maintenance planning, scheduling and shutdown execution
Managing maintenance resources and contractors
Working closely with Production Leaders to identify and eliminate reliability constraints
Driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, reliability, productivity
About you
Relevant tertiary engineering or management qualifications
Significant experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing, processing, industrial or heavy engineering environment
Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and work management processes
Experience in safety leadership, audits and risk management
Proven project management capability
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractors
Exposure to timber processing, manufacturing or industrial production environments
