We are seeking a professional PCV Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills and excellent communication abilities. This role involves ensuring passenger safety, maintaining the vehicle, and providing exceptional service to travellers. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and reliability.
Responsibilities
Safely operate PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) buses along scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition.
Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition as required.
Follow all health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe environment for passengers and staff.
Experience
Proven experience as a driver in passenger transport roles.
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience with driving large vehicles such as lorries or buses is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, capable of providing clear information to passengers and team members.
Familiarity with route planning, traffic regulations, and safety standards for passenger transport. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service within the public transport sector.
