We are looking for a reliable, organised Bookkeeper / Administrator to support our bus operations with day-to-day bookkeeping, government forms and general administration.

This role offers flexible hours and the option to work from home or from our depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using spreadsheets or accounting software.
  • Complete and submit forms and documentation for relevant government schemes.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure records and reports are accurate and completed within the relevant deadlines.
  • Handle financial and business information confidentially.

Working Arrangements

The preferred commitment is three to four days per week initially, reducing to approximately one or two days per week once the initial workload is complete.

Hours and location of work can be flexible, provided work is completed on time. Additional hours may be required at certain times of the year to meet reporting and submission deadlines.

Requirements

  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge, including VAT.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
  • The ability to manage your workload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the bus industry.
  • Familiarity with government schemes and form filling.
