  • Manage the council’s media relations for specific departments, including writing press releases, arranging interviews, briefing spokespeople and handling media enquiries.
  • Write copy for the council’s websites, intranet and publications for different audiences.
  • Implement and assist in the development of the council’s social media activities.
  • Produce newsletters for a variety of audiences.
  • Advise staff and councillors on communications activities and issues.
Qualifications:
  • Education to A‑Level standard or equivalent, with experience in media relations, digital content, social media and writing high‑quality, engaging copy.
