Are you a chartered surveyor looking for a new challenge?
Our in-house Strategic Property team is instrumental in providing property advice and support to all departments across South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District Council. As we are expanding our team, we are looking to recruit an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join our friendly team, to help support the future growth and direction of this busy service. In addition, you may also be line managing up to two officers within the team.
You will be a highly skilled and motivated property professional able to deal with both commercial, community/voluntary organisations and residential in relation to landlord and tenant matters, property acquisitions and general property management.
You will need experience of handling complex commercial property work, up to date knowledge of property law and be a member of the of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Experience of working in a local authority and supervising staff would be an advantage.
In return you will receive a generous holiday allowance of 25 days, plus time off between Christmas and New Year, professional membership fees paid, career average pension and support for your health and wellbeing.
In addition, you will benefit from truly flexible working, known as annualised hours - you will have a yearly total of hours to work, rather than a weekly figure, which will allow greater flexibility to manage your workload and balance work and home responsibilities - surplus hours can be booked as time off.
