The successful candidate will support the continued development of the Council's commercial waste portfolio by promoting and selling high-quality waste services to customers across the district.

This fast-paced role requires proven sales experience, sound judgement, initiative, adaptability and strong problem-solving skills, together with excellent communication and customer service capabilities. A data-driven approach and strong analytical skills will also be essential for identifying opportunities to sustain and expand the portfolio.

You will manage customer accounts, billing, financial transactions, debt management and account adjustments to meet the needs of both customers and the service. You will also work closely with the operations team to coordinate customer deliveries and liaise with collection crews to resolve issues promptly and effectively.

The role is based within the office at Ketteringham Depot (home working is not available for this role) and involves regular liaison with customers both on and off site. The ability to travel to multiple sites during the course of duties is therefore essential.

You will be joining a progressive and supportive organisation that is committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.

The Councils reserve the right to close any and all vacancies at any time if there is judged to be a sufficient number of applications received. South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are committed to promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and all applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate checks for the position, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
