Applications to job share or work on a part time basis will be considered. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Standards Team. This role offers the chance to step into a management position and help guide the team's work as an essential part of our management structure. The Housing Standards Team undertakes a diverse range of activities, all focused on ensuring that residents across our districts live in safe, well maintained homes that meet their needs. The team delivers a mix of reactive and proactive interventions. With new legislation creating opportunities to expand our work, this is an exciting time to help shape the team's processes and future direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the quality and output of a range of Housing Standards functions, including enforcement activity and independent living programmes.
  • Acting as a senior enforcement officer with direct line management responsibility for team members.
  • Representing the Council at relevant local and county wide groups.
  • Playing a key role within the wider management team.
