The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for confident and caring individuals to assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of structured sessions of sports, crafts, cookery and games for a group of 5-16 year olds as part of the Council's school holiday play scheme.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Tots2Teens ensuring children's safety as well as supervising the Tots2Teens staff on shift. You'll lead by example, making sure children are at the heart of everything we do. You'll welcome and get to know children and parents, integrate nervous children or those with additional needs, and maintain a positive, approachable presence throughout each session.
You’ll assist in planning and delivering a varied programme of activities, prepare resources, and ensure the venue and equipment are used safely and respectfully. You’ll also handle day-to-day issues, including behavioural concerns and parental queries (with the support of the Tots2Teens Leader), and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience working with a wide range of children, who can communicate confidently and compassionately. You’ll need to be familiar with health and safety and safeguarding practices, and able to travel between venues with any necessary equipment. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a genuine passion for supporting young people are essential.
