Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide a professional, compassionate, and efficient service to patients both in person and over the phone.
- Book appointments, arrange home visits, and respond to patient enquiries with care and confidence.
- Process incoming mail and patient communications accurately and promptly.
- Manage important administrative tasks including medication requests, pathology results, and patient follow-ups.
- Welcome and register new patients, helping create a positive first impression of the Practice.
- Prepare and process documents including forms, letters, and fit notes.

Job responsibilities
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional, friendly, and compassionate service both face-to-face and over the telephone. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the Practice by booking appointments, managing patient enquiries, processing correspondence, and carrying out a range of administrative duties. The role also includes handling medication requests, pathology results, patient registrations, and preparing medical documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and with sensitivity to patient needs.
