Full-Time Receptionist (On-Park)
Set in over 20 acres of tranquil parkland, South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park in Dorset was the AA’s Campsite of the Year 2021-22. With a range of accommodation on offer, from campsite spots and caravanning to our bespoke glamping options, we pride ourselves our offering a best-in-class holiday experience for families.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Receptionist to work at our five-star caravan and camping park, near Bournemouth in Dorset.
We’re seeking a highly competent, self-motivated individual with excellent IT skills who is experienced with booking systems, email platforms, and has general computer literacy. This person will have a positive attitude and superb customer service skills; essential to assist with various duties, from answering our booking line, managing the front desk and helping in our shop/café.
We are a very busy park and work hard to ensure we deliver a five-star customer experience consistently, with everyone pitching in as needed. While we work hard, we have great team spirit, and a laugh is never too far away!

Typical role & responsibilities:
- Greet and check in guests on arrival
- Create and manage bookings and enquiries via phone, email, and our online booking system (Gema Park) and 3rd party sites (AirBnB, Booking.com, Virgin Experience Days, Buyagift)
- Booking maximisation – dovetail bookings and upsell guest stays
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure outstanding payments for bookings are chased and paid for in a timely manner
- Manage billing of some park utilities (general waste, recycling etc)
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and organised
- Handle cash, payments, and complete daily banking reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Experience working as a receptionist or experience within the hospitality industry
- Passion for giving brilliant customer service
- Competent IT Skills – experienced using Office 365, booking systems and email
- Superb people and soft skills
- Strong ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
Working pattern:
- 35 hours a week with daily one-hour unpaid lunch
- In January & February – working Monday to Friday (Saturday & Sunday off) 9am – 5pm
- In March to December – working Saturday to Wednesday (Thursday & Friday off) between 9am-6pm
