South London Girls Football Academy is recruiting ambitious, energetic, and player-focused coaches to join one of the area’s most exciting girls’ development environments. About South London Girls Football Academy

South London Girls Football Academy is a specialist girls’ development centre for players aged 4–16. Unlike traditional grassroots clubs, our focus is not league competition — it is elite individual player development. We deliver a structured academy programme designed to:

  • Develop technically outstanding players
  • Improve game understanding and decision-making
  • Build confidence and character
  • Create genuine pathways into professional and high-level grassroots football

We work closely with our sister club, Young Queens FC, providing players with a direct pathway into competitive grassroots football where appropriate. The Academy also organises:

  • Friendly fixtures against professional club environments
  • Local tournament experiences
  • Advanced development opportunities for high-potential players

Our coaching environment is modern, energetic, demanding, and player-centred.

The Role

We are looking for Academy Coaches who can deliver engaging, high-quality sessions within the Academy’s coaching methodology and curriculum. This role is ideal for coaches who:

  • Love developing players

Coaches are encouraged to bring their own personality and coaching strengths while maintaining the Academy’s standards, style, and session framework.

Key Responsibilities

Session Delivery

  • Deliver high-energy, engaging 1-hour academy sessions
  • Coach within the Academy curriculum and playing philosophy
  • Create a positive and challenging learning environment
  • Produce weekly session plans and upload them to the 360 player platform for players to see ahead of sessions.

Player Development

  • Support players of all abilities and age groups
  • Encourage confidence, creativity, and decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with players and parents
  • Support individual Player Development Plans and contribute to refined, age-appropriate learning.

Professional Standards

  • Arrive 20 minutes before sessions
  • Ensure all equipment is fully prepared 10 minutes before start time
  • Manage session setup and pack-down professionally
  • Maintain high coaching and safeguarding standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • UEFA C Licence (minimum)
  • Strong youth coaching experience
  • Excellent communication and player engagement skills
  • Positive attitude and high professional standards
  • Ability to coach within a structured methodology
  • Self-employed status (responsible for own tax and NI)

Desirable

  • UEFA B Licence
  • Experience in academy, RTC, JPL, or professional environments
  • High-level playing background
  • Experience coaching girls’ football

Pay & Progression

  • Lead Coach: £20 per session during probationary period, increasing to £25 per session after 6 months, up to £30 per session for UEFA B/A Licence coaches with strong experience
  • Assistant Coach: £15 per session

Additional Information

  • Monthly payment upon invoice
