Overview
The post holder will join the Centre for Affective Disorders at King’s College London, in conjunction with South London and Maudsley NHS foundation Trust. The post holder will have a leading role in carrying out a randomised controlled trial – SNAPPER – looking at treatment for ADHD in Bipolar and Psychosis. This will primarily involve recruiting participants, conducting clinical assessments, managing data and there will be opportunities to be part of the wider research team, contributing to publications in the field. The post holder will work with the trial team, including the trial manager Prof Mario Juruena, other researchers and Professor Allan Young, who is the Chief Investigator. Professor Young is the Emeritus director of the Centre for Affective Disorders at The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN).
Responsibilities
- Identifying, screening, recruiting, and assessing research participants
- Data collection and management in accordance with data protection guidelines and relevant study SOPs
- Undertaking the necessary administrative and organizational duties in accordance with trial protocols (including interaction with research participants and efficiently scheduling appointments, collaborative working with other researchers in the team, ensuring accurate and consistent record keeping)
- To ensure the successful conduct and completion of the trial in compliance with Good Clinical Practice and working to the trial’s targets
- Contribute to the preparation and publication of data, reports and information, ensuring that these meet legislative, contractual and ethical requirements
- To contribute, as required, to other activities internal or external to this research study. These activities will be appropriate to the grade as directed by the Chief Investigator and/or Trial Manager
