We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at South Lincs Vet Group on a full‑time basis. Nestled between Spalding and Boston in the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside, our location provides a peaceful backdrop for your career. As an RCVS‑accredited hospital, we take pride in being fully equipped, offering all the resources you need to thrive.
South Lincs Vet Group consists of the main hospital and 4 branch locations. Our team is strong and dedicated, with 17 vets, including certificate holders in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, ECC, and Medicine. Supporting them is a fantastic team of 50+ RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, ACAs, reception, and admin staff, all working seamlessly together to deliver outstanding care.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- 42 hours per week
- Working on a rota basis Monday to Friday
- 1 in 5 Saturday shifts
- 1 in 15 weekend night shifts
General Responsibilities
- General nursing for inpatients
- Managing referral cases including orthopaedics and soft tissue surgeries, as well as emergency care
- Assist with Schedule 3 procedures
- Handle radiography, perform lab work, and take on consulting shifts
- You’ll operate x‑ray and CT scans and have access to multiparameter monitoring equipment
