About Us: South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has over 550 teaching and support staff working in the four schools (Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy and Cowley Academy) that make up our highly successful Trust.

In order to support our students to progress beyond Year 11, a vacancy has arisen within the South Lincolnshire Academies Trust to join the Careers Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic Advisor to be based at Giles Academy. This is an exciting role which would ideally suit someone who has experience of careers education or a keen interest.

Working as an integral part of the Careers team, the successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience of working in a similar position;
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Have excellent organisational and inter-personal skills;
  • Be willing to collaborate and work across the Trust;
  • Be a team player but can also work independently;
  • Be assertive and pro-active;
  • Adopt a consistent approach to all students;
  • Be flexible in their approach to their working hours ie: attend relevant evening events and attend work during exams results weeks in August;
  • A full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel to Spalding Academy when required (desirable).

Salary: GLEA Grade 5 – GLEA Grade 6 - £24,502 - £27,598 actual per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 41 weeks a year
